The Garden:

The proccess of building the studio involved the design and construction of an inspiring environment which included the garden in the backyard of our home. 

The garden is surrounded by meandering brick and stone planters.  A variety of trees are planted (including live oaks, red oaks, crepe myrtles,  magnolia sumac,  peach, chinese tallow, bradford pears, apple, banana, and palm trees).

The Pond:

The Pond has several types of water lilies, cat tails, various grasses and even lotus flowers.  Gold fish and beautiful frogs live in it.  It is also visited from time to time by garden snakes (18"x3/8"dia, brown with a yellow stripe down the middle).  Also herons seem to like it.

The pond has a 700 gph mag pump that runs continuously.  It pumps the water through a home made filter (2"x3' long pvc piping with filter material) that gets cleaned every two or three weeks on average.
